Overview

We’re trying something new this year – league wide practices! We figure this will give everyone more of an opportunity to gain skills, build confidence, and get to know each other a little better!

At our first practice, we will cover blocking, rushing and quarterback skills. The practice will take place on Thursday, June 1st, from 6:30-7:30pm at Felstead Park.

In basic terms, during a play, the team on defense has the ability to cross the line of scrimmage and try to de-flag the quarterback before they throw the ball. This is called rushing. In order to give the quarterback more time to throw the ball, the team on offense is allowed to designate players to get in the way of the rushers – this is called blocking! We encourage everyone who is not familiar with these terms; who wants to brush up on their knowledge/skills; or who just want to get outside and spend some time on the field, to come on out!

If you’ve been chosen as a primary or secondary quarterback this season, we encourage you to come out and hone your qb skills and demonstrate to others who may not have as much knowledge!
