Flags of Glory is a division of the Toronto Gay Football League. The division kicked off in 2013. As a registered non-profit, Flags of Glory provides an opportunity for all lesbians, bisexual, and queer positive women; and all non-binary and trans players, regardless of orientation, to play flag football.
We strive to create the opportunity for everyone regardless of age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, athletic ability or skill level to play football, have fun and build community. We play Saturdays from May until September at Felstead Avenue Playground.
With Flags of Glory, you are wanted and all are welcome.
Flags of Glory exists to give LGBQ women, trans and non-binary people and allies a chance to play flag football, regardless of skill or experience, in a comfortable, safe and welcoming environment that is free from harassment.
We are bringing people together and building community, through sport, social activities and community events.
We believe playing sports should be accessible and fun for all.
Together, we’re more than playing the field!
More Than Just Games!
In addition to our regular season and playoff games, we are committed to enhancing the off-field social experience for our membership.
In past seasons, several league-wide get-togethers took place in addition to the individual team get-togethers at our sponsor bars after games. Every season has also featured a year-end banquet and awards ceremony!
