Overview

Toronto Outdoor Picture Show‘s newest series, Movies on the Common, opens on July 6th with a 25th anniversary screening of Penny Marshall’s beloved A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN, which is a 1992 film based on the inspirational true story of the 1940s All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. The movie will screen with two Heritage Minutes that also depict athletes in phenomenal times of historical change – Jackie Robinson and Edmonton Grads.
